In order to help our students to succeed with their pursuits, we have assembled an excellent network of mentors. Time is an extremely valuable resource for all of us. When you feel applying for a particular scholarship we encourage you to prepare the questions that you want to ask. When requesting a contact, you will be asked to fill a short form in which you will have to specify mentors you want to contact.


Anastasiia Baskova


I obtained a Bachelor in Financial Engineering and a Master in Financial Markets at Dauphine University in Paris, and I was offered a full-time job at Morgan Stanley in London after having completed my degree.
I can advise you on how to choose and enter a top Master/Bachelor program and give tips for a successful job interview in Europe.

I’m also a member of the Alpin Club federation, where I practice mountaineering and coordinate the Trail Running section.

Maria Bodnar


I received Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for Master studies in Germany (specialization: Economics. Innovation and Change). I was a delegate to many international business conferences, start-up events, summer schools in Europe. I was supported by a grant in many of those cases. I can help you with Erasmus and DAAD, and with some other opportunities for attending nice events in Europe.

Angelina Nikolaichuk


Angelina is Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipient for M.A. “Economics of Globalisation and European Integration”. She has recently joined Alcatel-Lucent after finishing an AIESEC Internship in Shanghai. Angelina also participated in UN Model in Vienna and was granted a partial scholarship for International Summer University.

During her free time, Angelina studies Chinese language and travels as much as possible.

Tetiana Petruk


Tetiana obtained Masters degree in accounting from Kiev National Economic University. Her work experience includes 3,5 years in PwC audit department and 3 years in McKinsey&Company.
At the moment Tetiana is MBA student at Harvard Business School.

I her free time Tetiana likes to go to the gym and spend time with family and friends

Eleonora Provozin


Eleonora is currently completing European Master in Tourism Management. Her research interests cover sustainable tourism development and human capital in tourism.
She was awarded few scholarships – Erasmus Mundus for Master Course (Denmark-Slovenia-Spain) and for Bachelor’s student exchange (Portugal), and Global UGRAD (USA).

Eleonora is actively involved in NGO world in Ukraine, and enjoys spontaneous trips with CouchSurifng and hitchhiking elements.

Anastasiia Prydius


Anastasiia is a PhD student at Odessa National Polytechnic University. She received Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for Master studies at the University of the Basque Country, Spain (2013 – 2014). Her area of scientific research includes Economics and Information Technologies. She would love to help with any application for Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.

Anastasiia is fond of travelling, enjoys theater and loves photography.

Svitlana Repina


After completing my Bachelor degree from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy I received Fulbright grant to pursue graduate studies in the US. I finished MA in Economics at the State University of New York at Binghamton and currently work at Valuation and Business Modeling department at EY Ukraine. During my studies I also participated in summer schools in Czech Republic, Germany and Georgia and received scholarships to fully or partially cover my expenses.

My interests include finance and valuation, foreign languages and traveling.

Oksana Savchuk


Currently I’m studying Architecture & Sustainability at KU Leuven (Belgium). Previously I’ve obtained a MSc degree in Sustainable Urban Management at Malmö University with the support of Swedish Institute’s Visby scholarship. Also participated in a number of Summer Schools, workshops and youth trainings.

Oksana received Swedish Institute Scholarship, and also attended Summer University Carinthia (Austria)

Natalia Shtanyuk

Ivan Stetsyuk


Ivan Stetsyuk is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) in Canada. Before accepting a tenure track position at UQAM, Ivan studied at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and Temple University in Philadelphia. Ivan helps those who are interested in graduate studies in the United States or Canada.

In his spare time, Ivan volunteers in sustainable community development projects.

Ivan is a recipient of Fulbright, CWY, SEW grants.

Volodymyr Averkov


Dr. Averkov holds a PhD from Koln University, Germany. During his studies he has been socially active, and founded an association of Ukrainians students of the Koln University.

Vlad Dembrovskyi


Vlad is an Ukrainian bachelor student, whose interests are spread wide from hydrobiology and ecology to genetics and molecular biology. Vlad has an excellent track record and has distinguished himself in the International Biology Olympiad.

Vlad is socially active individual and performs the role of Student Ambassador at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Vlad is responsible for connecting students at his home university to mentors.

Anna Doloman


Anna received a Fulbright Graduate Student Award in 2012 and got her Masters in Microbiology at the University of Oklahoma. Currently she is pursuing her PhD at Utah State University.

Oleksandra Gulenko


I am a freshman undergraduate student in Ulsan Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST, South Korea). Although I have no major, I want to acquire bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering and Material Sciences fields. In high school I used to participate in various student competitions and olympiads.

rIn my free time I enjoy hiking, cycling and learning foreign languages.

Olga Ivanenko


As an MSc in Human Physiology, Olga is interested in neurology, cognitive impairment, human connectome and prions. She has won a number of student awards in Ukraine and travel grants to attend conferences abroad.

Olga likes walks and ancient mysteries. She travels far to enjoy vacations on a high altitudes of mountains.

Maksym Korablyov


Maksym is a Fulbright Graduate Student at Georgia Institute of Technology. His interests span many areas including modeling of the macromolecular complexes, network theory and applications, and machine learning. Right now, he concentrates his effort on development of a new molecules targeting viral assembly.

In his free time Maksym enjoys jogging and playing chess.

Ganna Korniushchenko


Dr. Korniushchenko Anna is Ukrainian researcher and lecturer. She is a recipient of international and Ukrainian awards, such as Fulbright Faculty Development, DAAD, Grant of president of Ukraine, Grant of Ukrainian ministry of education and science for research in Germany. Her area of scientific research includes nanotechnologies and nanomaterials.

In her free time she likes travelling, reading and exercising.

Bohdan Kysilov


Bohdan is a researcher at Bogomoletz institute of Physiology, and a student at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He is a recipient of a multiple grants including: ISTernship in the IST Austria; IMB International Summer School“Dynamics of Gene Regulation, Epigenetics and DNA Damage Response”, Mainz, Germany

Bohdan enjoys playing Toccata and Fugue on his bass guitar.

Rostyslav Makarenko


Rostyslav is PhD student at Pasteur-Paris University International Doctoral Program (Paris, France). Bioinformatics, biotechnology and genomics are his main fields of interest. His current research is focused on DNA repair mechanisms in yeast.

In his free time, Rostyslav enjoys hiking and studying the World history.

Sviatoslav Navrotskyi


Sviat is Fulbright Graduate Exchange Student in University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He previously graduated from NULP with theses dedicated to creating of novel polymers for drug delivery systems. Sviat has background in chemistry, food chemistry and chemical engineering, his scientific interests related to food safety and health promoting projects.

Daily you can caught Svite in gym or at soccer pitch. More free time he spents by camping, rafting and snowboarding.

Maksym Plakhotnyuk


I am an electronic engineer and currently PhD student at Technical University of Denmark (DTU). I hold Master Degree from University of Illinois and I am a recipient of Fulbright Scholarship (2010-2013), University of Illinois Fellowship, DTU PhD scholarship. My interests are Nanotechnology, Photovoltaics and Technological Entrepreneurship

I am a Fulbright scholar from Ukraine. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Public Health program with the Epidemiology concentration. I am interested in Biostatistics track. In future, I am planning to work in clinical trials, write grants and do epidemiological research.

Bogdan Sieriebriennikov


I had both negative (rejection) and positive experiences with various MSc programs. After obtaining an Erasmus Mundus MSc degree, I got a PhD position at the Max Planck Institute for DevBio which made me learn a whole set of skills I had no experience with. I believe that whatever you do, the right motivation is a path to success.

Dmytro Snisarenko


Dmytro is a current Marie Curie fellow at Paul Sabatier University involved in BioArt project which is dealing with the development of artificial and bioartificial organs. Dmytro is a former Erasmus Mundus scholar (EM3E program) during which he was studying in three different universities and performed the master thesis in the industrial company.

Dmytro’s work is recognized by a number of Ukrainian and international awards including: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellowship,grant for EMS Summer School,Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for EM3E, Prize prize for the National Chemistry Competition, Vernadskiy personal scholarship for the best study results.

In his free time Dmytro prefers various sports activities, reading detective stories and, of course, travelling.

Shkarina Kateryna


I am a passionate Cell and Developmental Biologist. In 2015 I applied for 3 different Swiss Ph.D programs, was invited for the interviews by all of them and finally landed on the Biozentrum Basel Fellowship of Excellence Ph.D program.
I owe a large part of my success to the people mentoring and supporting me along this way.

Beside doing Science, I am also in love with photography, mountain hiking, biking and traveling around the world. I am currently learning R and Python to improve my data analysis skills.

Oleksandr Zhurakovskyi


Alex is a researcher at the University of Bristol. He is an organic chemist with background in drug design and synthesis.
Alex studied at the University of Arizona as a Fulbright Graduate Student and recieved a doctorate from the University of Oxford on a Clarendon Scholarship. In 2014­-2015, he worked as a researcher at Harvard University.

During his Oxford years, Alex was heavily involved in the Oxford University Ukrainian Society, and remains active in Ukraine-related activities in the UK.

Oleksandr Zinenko


I am zoologist with particular interest in molecular systematics evolutionary biology. As a part of this particular community I would like to have impact on forming Ukrainian scientific community by providing young talented scientist access to relevant information and networking between scholars from different disciplines.

I enriched my research experience during the Fulbright grant(2013), and also DAAD scholarship(2007).

Dmytro Khutkyy


Dr. Dmytro Khutkyy is a Ukrainian scholar combining teaching at the Department of Sociology at National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”, applied research at the Kiev International Institute of Sociology, academic research on international post-doctoral programs, and civic activism within the Electronic Democracy Project in Ukraine.

During the dramatic events in Ukraine, he studies the protests and intersocietal relations from sociological viewpoint.

Dr. Khutkyy is a recipient of multiple international awards including Fulbright Faculty Development Award, Erasmus Mundus – EMERGE Scholarship, Carnegie Research Fellowship, CASE individual research grant, DAAD grant.

Galyna Korniyenko


My objectives are to develop cross-border cooperation projects between Ukraine, EU and the USA. My broad interests are in the areas of sustainable land use planning and policy. Specific interests include: environmental management, sustainable communities, public participation, and public/private ownership.

In the past I have participated in the Legislative Fellowship Program USA (Illinois State Senate), WEASA Poland. My project “Braille Ukraine” won AEIF competition in 2013. Currently I am a graduated student at KU studying Urban Planning thanks to Fulbright Scholarship Program and doing Summer Internship at the Ohio State University through Muskie.

PhD student in Comparative Literature in Binghamton University, also an MA in Comparative Literature and Translation; a writer and a translator, with published children’s book that includes biographies of five famous people and translations of American short stories into Ukrainian.

I was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at State University of New York at Albany (2014-2015). My research was focused on history of philosophy and intellectual history. In Ukraine, I have obtained PhD in Philosophy at the Taras Schevshenko National University of Kyiv.

Sergiy Shtukarin


Having received MA in International Relations and European Studies from the Central European University, I encouraged and helped students and friends to apply for the grants to study abroad. Currently working for the United Nations, I will soon head to the U.S. to participate in the McCain Institute’s Next Generation Leaders Program.

I won multiple grants including: HESP Student Mobility Grant, Central European University Partial Fellowship, U.S. Department of State Legislative Fellowship, McCain Institute Next Generation Leaders Program.

Iryna Shuvalova


Iryna is an award-winning poet, translator and admissions consultant. She holds 3 graduate degrees – in Philosophy, Translation and Comparative Literature. She did her MA in CompLit on a Fulbright Scholarship at Dartmouth College where she also served as a writing tutor. She published 3 books of poetry. Her poems are translated into 9 languages.

Besides, Iryna is a passionate traveler and couchsurfer: she has already visited more than 20 countries. In her free time she enjoys working with clay and gardening.

Iryna Stakhur


Iryna is a passionate educator interested in alternative methods of teaching and learning. As a Fulbright Foreign Student Program alumna, she studied Education at Harvard and worked as a Teaching Assistant at Project Zero Harvard online courses. She currently works in an international school with children while also continuing to coach online.
